Weekly Astro-Market Dossier — 11–15 August 2025

(Astro + KP + SBC → intraday trade playbook, sectors, timings & risk rules)

Headline (SEO): Astro-Tech Market Outlook: Volatile Week Ahead — Nifty Sectors to Watch (11–14 Aug 2025) — Gold & Silver Cues, Intraday Time Windows

Meta description (SEO): Detailed astro-technical forecast for 11–14 Aug 2025. Moon nakshatra shifts, Rahu/Saturn/Mars vedha windows, sector rotation (media, finance, infra, IT), intraday trade setups, and commodity bias for gold & silver. Includes precise trade rules and risk controls.

Macro calendar & market holiday (must-know)

  • Indian exchanges closed Friday 15 August 2025 (Independence Day) — equities will not trade on NSE/BSE that day (plan positions accordingly). NSE IndiaNifty Indices
  • U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July → release on Tuesday 12 Aug 2025 (08:30 ET) — a headline CPI print during the week can spike global volatility and move currency/commodity flows (watch pre-market moves, 5–15m volume). Bureau of Labor Statistics
  • Other U.S. macro (jobless claims, PPI) and global econ calendar items occur mid-week (eg. Thu 14 Aug has jobless claims & PPI windows) — treat Thu morning as a “macro risk” window for cross-market correlations. MarketWatchTrading Economics

Executive summary (quick take)

  • Theme: Volatility with fast sector rotation. Mixed SBC vs KP signals → two-way price action most days.
  • Best tactic: Short, disciplined intraday trades (scalps & momentum), avoid large overnight directional bets (except commodity trades where bias is clearer).
  • Week hotspots (intraday windows):
    • 11 Aug: 12:30–13:30 (reversal / breakout)
    • 12 Aug: 11:30–12:00 (high volatility around nakshatra lord change & macro)
    • 13 Aug: 10:00–10:30 (nakshatra shift → post-10:30 momentum)
    • 14 Aug: 14:30–15:00 (late session swing)
  • Commodities: Silver shows consistent bullish bias across days; gold mixed (strong early in some sessions, volatile later).
  • Holiday note: Do not hold equity overnight into 15 Aug; close positions Thursday night or use strict hedges.

Day-by-day: detailed analysis + trade playbook

How to read the trade setups: “Scalp / Momentum / Swing” — each setup shows entry trigger logic, stop placement (technical), target & time horizon. Use position sizing rules below.

Monday 11 Aug 2025 — Mixed / two-way volatility

Astro synopsis: Moon in Aquarius (Shatabhisha → Purva Bhadrapada). SBC shows Rahu conjunct Moon in 2nd half; KP warns bearish in 2nd half. Mixed signals → volatile two-way action. Key time: 12:30–13:30.

Sector focus: Media, Entertainment, Telecom, Power, Electrical goods, Realty, Infrastructure, Metals.

Intraday structure (expect):

  • Morning: Opening choppy; sharp mean-reversion moves early. Jupiter/Venus trines support interim recovery, especially in Rahu sectors.
  • Midday (12:30–13:30): Watch for either breakout continuation or quick reversal — high probability of false breakouts.
  • Close: Profit booking risk.

  1. Scalp (5–15m)Direction-agnostic, volume confirmation
    • Entry: Break of 5-min range with volume >1.5× 20-period avg.
    • Stop: 1 ATR(5m) below entry.
    • Target: 1:1 reward:risk; time exit within 20–30 minutes.
  2. Momentum (15–60m) — Rahu sector long
    • Entry: Price holds above VWAP and 15-min EMA50; pop above 5-min consolidation high.
    • Stop: Close below VWAP or previous 15-min swing low.
    • Target: trail to 1:2 R:R; reduce size at first major resistance.
  3. Gold trade (commodity)Very Bullish morning
    • Entry: Break above overnight high with momentum (volume + price).
    • Stop: below VWAP; target: 1–2% intraday based on volatility.

Risk management: max 0.5–1% account risk per trade; use smaller sizes for scalp, larger for high conviction momentum trades.

Tuesday 12 Aug 2025 — Weak morning; heavier slow afternoon

Astro synopsis: Moon in Pisces (Purva → Uttara Bhadrapada). 1st half Moon conjunct Rahu; 2nd half Moon conjunct Saturn & Neptune. Nakshatra lords (Jupiter, Saturn) carry heavy negative aspect scores → bearish undertone. Key time: 11:30–12:00.

Sector focus: Early: banking, finance, pharma, aviation (watch for choppy shorts). Afternoon: real estate, construction, mining, heavy industries (weakness likely).

Intraday structure:

  • Morning: Speculative counters can spike, but broad market bias soft.
  • Late morning → afternoon: Price action slows and drifts; heavy hands dominate. Expect range expansion near the 11:30–12:00 window (also overlapping with market reaction to U.S. CPI at 08:30 ET earlier in the day).

Trade setups:

  1. Fade the first impulsive leg (preferred here)
    • Entry (short): After a sharp impulsive gap-up rally that fails to sustain 3 candles on the 5-min (bearish engulf or lower high on 15-min).
    • Stop: above the failed breakout high; target: recent range lows; 1:1–1.5 R:R.
  2. Range trade through midday
    • Identify 30–60m value area; sell rallies to upper range with tight stops; buy dips only when momentum structure flips.
  3. Silver long (structural bullish)
    • Entry: Pullback to intraday VWAP or 20 EMA on 15-min and bullish RSI divergence.
    • Stop: below 15-min swing low; target: trail on momentum.

Wednesday 13 Aug 2025 — Volatile morning → post-10:30 positive momentum (but watch close)

Astro synopsis: Moon moves Uttara Bhadrapada → Revati near 10:30 am; SBC notes direct vedha from Mars after the nakshatra change. That fuels post-10:30 positive thrust, but KP flags possible bearish closing. Key time: 10:00–10:30 (nakshatra change momentum).

Sector focus: Comm/Media/Transport/IT/Textile/FMCG — likely to show strength after 10:30.

Intraday structure:

  • Pre-10:30: Choppy and volatile as nakshatra energy builds.
  • Post-10:30: Momentum favoring bullish breakouts (watch for quick follow-through).
  • Late session: Monitor for KP-driven weakness into close — scale out before final hour if you were long.

Trade setups:

  1. Open-range breakout (post-10:30)
    • Entry: Break & hold above the morning high established after nakshatra shift; confirm with 5-min close above and increasing volume.
    • Stop: below breakout anchor / VWAP.
    • Target: 1:2 R:R, but reduce size at first overhead structural resistance.
  2. Quick intraday short near close (if structure shows exhaustion)
    • Entry: Bearish divergence on 15-min RSI + failure to hold 15-min EMAs.
    • Stop: above recent highs; use tight multiple exits.
  3. Commodities: Silver very bullish — let winners run with ATR-based trailing stop.

Thursday 14 Aug 2025 — Vargottam Moon in Aries; high intraday swings

Astro synopsis: Moon in Aries (Ashwini, Vargottam) with vedha from Ketu. Strong bullish Moon energy, but Ketu’s negative aspect score introduces false rallies/whipsaws. Key time: 14:30–15:00.

Sector focus: Power, IT, Crude & Oil & Gas, Pharma, Coal, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Auto — look for intraday leadership rotation.

Intraday structure:

  • Expect sharp intraday spikes followed by quick reversals. Volatility late in session is likely; avoid carrying unhedged positions into the Friday holiday gap risk.

Trade setups:

  1. Scalp directional momentum (fast entries)
    • Use 1–2% of capital per scalp; entry on breakout + confirm with 1-min/5-min momentum and rising volume. Stop small, time exit 10–20 minutes.
  2. Sector breakout trade (higher timeframe 30–60m)
    • Entry: 30-min close above consolidation + sector ETF / index relative strength.
    • Stop: below consolidation low; target: trail at 2× ATR(30).
  3. Avoid large overnight exposures before holiday.

Friday 15 Aug 2025Market closed (India)

  • No equity trading on NSE/BSE (plan to close positions Thursday). Commodity & global markets still react. NSE IndiaZerodha

Practical intraday toolkit (what to run on your charts)

  1. Timeframes: 1m / 5m for scalps; 15m / 30m for intraday swing; 60m to spot bias.
  2. Indicators: VWAP (session bias), EMA20/50 on 5m & 15m, RSI(14) on 15m, ATR(14) for stop sizing, Volume (20-period avg).
  3. Price action checks: Higher highs & higher lows on 15m + hold above VWAP = healthy long structure; failing VWAP = bearish.
  4. Order types: Use limit entries for defined risk, protective stop orders to handle sudden gaps, and OCO orders for multi-target exits.

Risk management (non-negotiable)

  • Max risk per trade: 0.5–1% of account equity. For scalp, reduce to 0.2–0.5%.
  • Position sizing: Size = (Account risk in ₹) / (Stop distance in ₹). Use ATR for stop distance.
  • Time stop: If the trade is not triggered or is not moving within the defined time window, cancel. If in profit, trail with 1–1.5× ATR.
  • Holiday rule: Close equity positions before market close on Thu 14 Aug (no overnight trades into 15 Aug unless hedged).

Sector watch list (actionable)

  • Highest probability on bullish days: Silver-related miners/traders, Media & Telecom on 11th, IT & FMCG on 13th post-10:30, Power & Infra on 14th morning.
  • Be cautious / shortable: Banking & Finance on 12th morning; Real estate & heavy industries in 12th afternoon.
